During weekdays the store is open 9am - 1.00pm however it is always best to call in advance - 01629 581403 - if making a journey as there are occasions when we are not able to be there.  Afternoon visits are possible by appointment.  Saturdays that we are not at shows, the store is open 9am - 5pm.  We are away most weekends in August.

This show has been getting larger and larger as each year passes and this year brings together history and reenactment spanning over 2000 years

Promises to be the best ever, this is a great show with so much to see and learn from.  We are at the entrance end, just along from The Wyoming Wild Bunch encampment.

Leather Craft Workshops are now available

We are now able to run workshops on most aspects of leathercraft including carving, stamping, dyeing, sewing and lacing.

Leather craft is a wonderful skill and we are pleased to be able to offer you Workshops in a variety of subjects.  Leather carving, belt making, knife sheaths, stamping, dyeing and stitching are some of the subjects we can cover.

We can also offer instruction on making smaller items like key rings, book marks and wrist bands for Clubs, Societies, Scouts etc.

Workshops are normally held with a maximum of four students so you can be assured that you will receive personal tuition.  However we can accommodate more or less if required.

You will be introduced to various types of leather and their uses, how to use various tools and what they do.

All materials and tools will be supplied and you will leave with the item you have made, your first piece of carving, a belt or similar item.  An option to purchase a basic tool set and other items at a reduced cost will be available to order.

Workshops are held at our Matlock Store and at venues around the country.  We are happy to consider your own requirements and can travel any distance to your own venue (minimum 2 students).
